2019 Yucatan Peninsula Mexico Tour Offerings

Arrival at Cancun airport and transportation via private coach to Yucatan's Magical Valladolid.  Check-in to our accommodation mid-afternoon and enjoy a welcoming cocktail around the courtyard at our charming Spanish Colonial 100-year old casa where we'll stay for 3 nights.

Walk the city's square and watch Catedral de San Servasio come to life as the sun sets and illuminates its golden beauty over the 400 year old church.  We will dine as the Spaniard's did, in-style, in a 17th century colonial mansion on their stunning outdoor courtyard.  Back to our casa for some relaxation as we settle in and prepare for tomorrow's exciting adventure.

Awake to the sounds of the birds of the Yucatan and a spectacular 3-course breakfast served on the Casa's welcoming courtyard.  Be ready to be treated like royalty as the Casa's staff serve you a traditional Yucatan breakfast as we prepare for our day of exploring.

First stop, Casa de los Venados, where we'll tour a breathtaking private home and see their grand collection of Mexican Folk Art - the largest museum quality collection in private hands.  Afterwards, off we go to visit the Mercado de Artesanias to shop the most beautiful locally made leather goods, hand tooled bags, and brilliantly colored hand sewn embroidered Mayan clothing.

Fuel ourselves with lunch and off we go to Cenote Zaci where you can swim in a clear blue grotto, a true mini paradise with stalactites and hanging vines - a real photographers delight.

Back to the Casa for some late afternoon relaxation and then a Happy Hour by the pool where we're surrounded by beautiful elephant ear plants, stunning flora & fauna, truly our own private oasis.

Leave the Casa just in time for a walk at dusk.  Watch the setting sun as it shines a golden fire against the pastel colored colonial buildings shining an otherworldly glow onto the Magical town of Valladolid. Dine out for a true Yucatan meal and finish our evening walking Valladolid's main plaza, a haven of shade trees, food carts and vendors who entice children with floating balloons and tourists with local crafts.  Return to the casa for an end of a truly mesmerizing day.

An early morning start to yet another 3-course delicious breakfast served in our Casa's beautiful courtyard.  Off we go to Valladolid's local market that abounds with fresh fruits, local spices, and the sights and sounds of the Yucatan culture.  A happy sensory explosion of color as we experience an immersion into their daily life.

Our next adventure takes us to the 500 year old Convent of San Bernardino of Siena where we'll tour the building and its grounds.  Be prepared to be awestruck by its history and eerie beauty.

Next, we'll meander down  Calzada de los Frailes ("Walkway of the Friars") -  a planter-lined cobblestone street with shops and restaurants oozing with charm.  Visit a Mayan chocolate factory and have a taste of the locally made tequila.

Our last night dinner will be  held at a very special place, and afterwards, your freedom to walk on your own and explore the square, the chapel, the local shops, or capture some last photos of Magical Valladolid.

A very early start as we leave Valladolid and drive 2 hours in a First Class coach into the state of Quintana Roo to the ferry dock of Gran Puerto.  There we will ride across the glorious turquoise waters of the Caribbean Ocean to the island of Isla Mujeres.  Ride topside of the Ultramar ferry and be prepared to be awestruck as you view the bluest of blue water you have ever seen.

Once on the island, we'll have lunch ocean-side at a local fisherman's paradise.  Fresh fish tacos and icy cold margaritas will welcome you to the "Island of Women" known as Isla Mujeres.

Check into our hotel , drop our bags, and walk 50 steps onto the whitest softest sand your toes have ever felt - Playa Norte (North Beach) named one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.

Relax and enjoy your first afternoon and evening at your leisure, walking the beach, watching the sunset, and then meeting back up for a group dinner on the bustling Hidalgo Avenue.  End our day for a relaxing sleep so we can start our next day enjoying the white powder beaches and the turquoise waters of the gulf of Mexico.
BREAKFAST INCLUDED

Enjoy your last two days at your leisure, laying under an umbrella and walking into the warm Caribbean waters, Cerveza in hand.  It's your option to relax on the beach, visit a beach-side swing bar, walk on the Malecon, shop on Hidalgo or go snorkeling or fishing if you are feeling adventurous. Exploring the island via Golf Cart is also an extremely popular excursion, and we can assist with Golf Cart Rentals if desired.  Group dinners will be an evening option or feel free to venture out on your own. 

Sunsets on Playa Norte is something you will never forget.  Join our group as we all celebrate the sun setting into the west, as we watch the sky illuminate with reds, pinks and orange shades - and learn about a "reverse sunset".

As we spend 3-nights on this beautiful island, it is your option to have free time, or to experience a few group excursions.  It's yours to decide -  as a group we'll  show you the best of the best places to eat, stopping at the local market for fresh juice and perhaps visiting a few taco carts along the way.

Our last night is a very special one as we spend our last evening together - we will dine in a Magical rooftop restaurant in open-aired palapa, serenaded by live music as the sweet Caribbean breeze saying Adios my friends.

On this last morning, it is our suggestion to wake up early as you say goodbye to the glorious turquoise waters of Playa Norte.  Take your last morning strolling the beach and enjoying your quiet time with your feet at the waters edge while you say goodbye to a very Magical place. Board the ferry after lunch and head back across the turquoise waters to the Gran Puerto ferry dock.  From there you are transported back to the Cancun Airport.
